Dental Check-ups
We take the utmost time and care to ensure we have a complete picture of your dental health before any treatment is recommended or agreed.
You’ll receive:
- An initial consultation that includes a full assessment of your medical and dental history, as well as an informal conversation that will help us to understand your lifestyle, diet and any lifestyle choices that may impact negatively on your oral health and which we need to be aware of.
- A thorough examination. This will allow us to accurately assess the current health of your teeth, gums, jaw and surrounding areas of mouth
- Screening to ensure there is no indication of pre-existing conditions, such as oral cancer
- Analysis of mouth function. This will include a radiographic examination as well as an assessment of your jaw function and analysis of your bite, in order to determine whether any potential corrective dental treatment is required in the short term
- Tailored advice based on your current level of oral health to allow you to effectively manage either ongoing maintenance or improvement
- Treatment planning as required, based on our assessment.
Dental Emergencies
We offer daily emergency dental appointments, including video consultations if needed or required. Whether you’ve had an accident that’s resulted in dental trauma, have a broken tooth, loose crown, or suddenly experience tooth ache or dental pain, we’re always on hand to help as quickly as possible.
Tooth Replacement
Many patients come to a time when they need to consider tooth replacement. This may be simply due to age, or it may be due to a medical condition or dental trauma.
If you have missing teeth or require a dental extraction and wish to replace the gap, we offer a range of tooth replacement options that include
- Removable dentures
- dental bridges
- dental implants (in partnership with a team of specialist dental surgeons)
Specialised Mouthgaurds
Tooth grinding and clenching has always been common, especially when taking exercise or experiencing any other form of physical exertion. However, since the outbreak of the pandemic we have seen an increasing number of cases of stress- and anxiety-related grinding and clenching.
Prolonged tooth clenching and grinding can cause extreme physical discomfort – e.g., headaches, muscular pain, and musculoskeletal problems – as well as a degradation in tooth health and strength.
We now offer specialist mouthguards that can be worn overnight to reduce the impact of tooth clenching and tooth grinding.
Tooth Whitening
We have extensive experience and expertise in tooth whitening processes and our state of the art technology is designed to get the best possible results safely.
Only dental bleach has the power to safely penetrate the tooth and break down staining, which is why we encourage our patients to avoid ‘tooth whitening’ toothpastes that often use abrasive ingredients that can damage the tooth, and over the counter whitening bleaches that can harm tooth health.
Restorative Dentistry
As you might expect, we have extensive experience in providing routine and restorative dental treatment, offering a wide range of cosmetic and practical options when it comes to routine fillings, crowns, and crown replacement.
We also offer hygienist appointments to ensure that your oral health is in the best possible hands.
Root Canal Treatment
The days when a dental infection meant the loss of the affected tooth are, thankfully, a thing of the past in all but the most extreme cases.
Root canal treatment, which involves cleaning the nerves of the tooth in order to allow it to be saved, now mean that extractions because of infection are now the exception rather than the norm.
